Galliano and Diesel to Make Kids

It's just been announced that John Galliano has signed a licensing agreement with Diesel to develop a children's line for the next five years.

Diesel executive Renzo Rosso told WWD, "Galliano likes to play and create fairy-tale worlds even for adults. Imagine what he can do for kids."

The line will be for children 4-14 and should be available by next year. I'm so excited to see what he has in store for this kid...

The Poison

L.A painter Camille Rose Garcia.

Garcia has published a couple of books of her art and also a children's book, sort of, The Magic Bottle: A Blab! Storybook. She wrote and illustrated the story that stars Lulu Blackenshoe. Even though the book is in a children's format, the images will be much more appreciated by adults. The book is published by Fantagraphic Books.

McQueen Reigns Supreme

Alexander McQueen is hands down one of the most visionary designers in the game right now. His runway shows have reinvented the "show" aspect. McQueen's Spring 2008 collection made reference to one of his mentors, the late Isabella Blow. God bless that woman's soul. She was another original character in the fashion arena who passed away this year. Known for her extravagant style and her over the top hats, Blow basically discovered McQueen and put him on. So of course the Philip Treacy hats that he put down the runway were out of this world. The butterfly hat is an ornamental masterpiece. The collection as a whole is very exciting, the feather dresses and head pieces are imaginative showpieces. Incorporating the look through cosmetics is just another daring step McQueen takes to actualize his vision. I can guarantee that you will be seeing more of this collection as the periodicals start to put out fresh stories. Thank god Vogue let Sarah Mower write the runway review, I don't think anyone would have done it better. Check it out at Style.com.

Feelin all this Energy

Dia De Los Muertos.
I think ill be doing this all month in respect to Mexican culture and my own interest in skulls. Life and Death is a Beautiful Thing.

It's a Puerto Rican Thing.

YOU UNDERSTAND.

yo here is where i get Puerto Rican on yo ass. do not hate. Jennifer Lopez has a new album that drops on Tuesday. the album is titled 'Brave'. Regardless of reviews i will be the first in line to grab that shit. Now i understand, most def, i will be the first one to say home girl can't act, damn she ain't the best singer, but she can perform. She is confident and she can dance. She delivers a performance like no other ( i got DVDs to prove it, lets go) and she is the highest paid Latina actress/performer EVER. That doesn't come from being some sideline chick. I don't care what you say, she came from being a dancer in the Boogie Down, HUSTLIN' to a CEO of her own industry that includes feature films, television shows, fashion, and music. A multifaceted dynamic powerhouse that has taken over the globe and she's barely hit her mid thirties. A muse to many and a leader in her own respect, best believe i am writing about this. Oh and catch Mrs. Marc Anthony on the road with her man. I can t wait...Boriqua WHAT!

Hunting for Haunts

After a long day school and work it's relaxing to come home, sit on the couch and wander around the Internet. Fashion shows, magazines, dirt junk who knows how the hell I got here kind of stuff. Well, I came across this artist, Elizabeth McGrath. She has a wide range of mediums that she takes advantage of and her peculiar sense of imagination is fantastic. HOWEVER, I clicked on the gallery link and one of them was entitled, Roshambo. Instantly I thought, Rock, Paper, Scissors?!?! Nope. I was wrong. I hate squirrels. Since I was a child. This image terrified me. A squirrel? With wings and fangs? Nightmarish! Well, I hope it does the same for you. In fact, if you can recommend something, a movie, book, song, anything that will make me want to puke, please drop a line! I would love to hear from you.

Random Find

ARTIST: TARA MCPHERSON

This is a poster that Tara McPherson did for a Kings show in Portland. I thought it was pretty rad that the boys got some love.

The poster was also printed in blue and this edition sold out. It doesn't look like the hot pink version is up for sale yet. I know that you are all desperately jonesin' for your Kings merchandise, just relax, you will be alright.

The Melvins!!! This is for my boy James

McPherson has some shows in the LA area coming up. The Baby Tattooville event is on that unprecedented tip. As far as the East Coast, you'll have to wait til February 08 to get your ass to the Jonathan Levine Gallery in Chelsea.

The Sweetest Thing
