Great White Hype
Remember Proof? R.I.P
I was at this tour. Ludacris opened and I had the biggest thing for him. Never forget my homegirl, I won't even give out her name. She wore a black dress and fell down a big ass hill in front of maaad people. Yo, I ran like I wasnt with a girl. I wasn't trying to be a bad friend but she was wasted and I tried to tell her to walk along the side that was paved with me. I still have the night embedded in memory. She wanted nothing to do with me. But, I met up with her after she walked it off. Loved this song.

Nike x Married to the Mob!
Nike x Married to the Mob Dunk High Supreme has been pushed back to November 8th. I say good this gives me some time to save the $$$. Not that its a shock that MOB would put out another Dope pair of kicks, but this pair takes it down a noch while kicking it up a few at the same time. These Chanel inspired Dunks are sure to be seen in every sneaker heads closet, guys and girls alike. So save those pennies, if that means to drinking on Mondays at Sway then so be it, you will thank yourself in the end.

Quote of the Week
This time it comes from my girl, Dame$kee.
"You know Jenessa, boys are really dumb, and they stay that way until about thirty-five."
Bummer.
This one came later while watching Gang Land on the History Channel, and I had to post it:
Jenessa- "He's cute"
Dame$kee- "All spanish boys are cute!"
Word mami! She redeemed herself.
I like to post random quotes my friends say or that I read, it's amusing. But if you think your homegirls or boys are on some crazy tip, send em to us. I find people fascinating.

McQueen
Always bringing his show ahead of the pack referencing the technological movement that drives today's world and embracing the tools to exaggerate the present. Alexander McQueen brings what is beyond the beyond while defining forward design and construction of this era while remaining true to the spirit of beauty. Whether it be through fashion show production, fabric choice, or execution, what you know to be McQueen becomes more evident with development and time. The suit and dress with the black and white print and cut out stitching looks like a real life futuristic version of The Nightmare Before Christmas. In a knock out fashion kind of way.

Sour Lemon
PREP SCHOOL
This jacket is super cute and it's on sale. Which is a good thing seeing how everyone is broke. The blazer has ruffled detailing around the collar and along the right front. Would look hot paired with the yellow Marc by Marc Jacobs pom pom heels from a few posts back. Matchstick pants or a cute skirt and tights would be fitting.
Herringbone Fiona Jacket in Sour Lemon iis available at J.Crew. There are a few complimentary colors in available in the stretch shirts that would look nice, Fresh Guava or Eggplant are fresh. I love how J.crew tries to make thier stuff seem new by renaming colors like pink and dark purple. One of my favorties from the past was Strawberry Ice, really? You mean hot pink? The Sour Lemon jacket retails for $150.

Pledge Allegiance
I'm really glad that people are getting into the election. Quite honestly, I wasn't originally all about Obama. I supported Hillary because of her views on health care and education. When she was dropped, I was bummed, but I am happy to back Democratic candidate, Senator Barack Obama. It's hard for me to get into politics considering the past two presidential elections that left me devastated. However, it is important to register and keep yourself informed. Disappointments are a fact of life. Get used to em. It is our job as American citizens to make this country better no matter what party you claim. The world and a whole lot of our own citizens view America as a bunch of idiots. I don't, I love the US. All in all, this country is ours and we have to stick together in order to maintain global supremacy whatever your issue. One Love Y'all. Oh, and one rule I totally abide by, when drinking, never talk politics or religion, shit gets heated.

Thank You
Just when you thought fashion was the epitome of superficiality, this comes out, quote of the week comes from Sarah Mower and Albar Elbaz:
Can voluptuous fashion stay relevant in an age of austerity? Can gorgeous decoration coexist with the need for something plain and simple? Ask Alber Elbaz, a man whose recipe for reductionism and all-out gorgeousness squared the circle with a unique flourish. "Whatever's happening now," he said, "it's the end of fake. What's not real will go. What we have to do now is make life easier for women."
Thank You!
Quite honestly, you and I both know that the fashion world is superficial. Just ask Karl Lagerfeld:
“I’m mad for books,” he says, sitting motionless behind his black Dior shades. “It is a disease I won’t recover from. They are the tragedy of my life. I want to learn about everything. I want to know everything, but I’m not an intellectual, and I don’t like their company. I’m the most superficial man on Earth.”
Just sayin. Last week my mother told me I was in the wrong business.

Out of the Box
Style.com has the most user-friendly website when it comes down to fashion show coverage. It's excellent because the pictures are specific to your catagory of interest. I always begin with the beauty section, so that I can get a feel for where the collection is going, then the details, and finally the complete collection, which I do in a slideshow rotation. Galliano always uses Pat McGrath to construct the faces. She is the global creative director of Max Factor Cosmetics and an absolutely phenomenal artist, check the record. The creativity between the two of them pushes the limits of conventional beauty which offers a spectrum of opportunity for anyone to achieve a desired look no matter how 'out of the box' it may appear. The John Galliano collection was so much fun to go through. I decided to highlight these amazing shoes, they truly defy the standards for footwear, love it. As well as some makeup and hair. The rest of the commentary on the collection can be handled by the people that were there and the man himself with the video attached to the post. Apprécier!
Love how the lip gloss looks like it is dripping off of Jessica Stam's lips.
